UK Mainland Delivery

Please see below the standard delivery options for orders placed with ourselves:

MOS can deliver anywhere within the UK, as well as to customers abroad. 

The costs above show our standard charges. When ordering online, please ensure you have a valid UK mainland address. Please note there are a few instances where additional transport costs may apply. This includes surcharges on some products for delivery north of Glasgow or Edinburgh in Scotland, or to Devon or Cornwall. There also may be additional delivery costs for orders that are over £500, but include numerous small quantities of items from different factories.

There are a few items online which qualify for free delivery for any size of order. In these instances, it will be mentioned in the description text on the product page. There are also some bulky items, where a delivery cost will be separate to those above, due to the volume of the consignment.

Deliveries to offshore UK or international locations

Customers who are offshore in the UK or based internationally have two options. We can deliver to a shipping depot or agent of your choice, on the terms above. This is for you to then arrange the shipping onward from there. Alternatively, you can contact the office to request a shipping cost. Please note, for most UK offshore and European customers this would be a door-to-door transport service, but in some countries, this may be to a port-only. 

How are deliveries made?

Unless otherwise specified, all orders with MOS are sent out via kerbside delivery. This means your order will be delivered to the nearest kerbside address where the goods can be safely offloaded. If your building has a carpark with access, it may be dropped there. You will then need to take the goods inside yourself. 

For large orders, you will need to arrange for a team of people to be there to accept your delivery. The drivers won’t take the goods inside, and in many instances, are third-party companies (rather than a dedicated vehicle, or from the manufacturer). 

When placing your order, please advise us of any restrictions or circumstances that may affect delivery i.e. poor access for large vehicles. Please also note the date specified on your order acknowledgement is an estimate only. You will receive a call from the transport team/company to book in delivery once your order is ready. If you have ordered numerous items and they come from different sources, they will be delivered separately. 

Depending on the item you order, most chairs are delivered assembled and ready to use. They just need to be unpacked. Other items, and a small number of the seating lines, will require a small amount of self-assembly. That includes the majority of tables, where the tops will need to be fitted to the frames. 

When you receive your order please check it thoroughly. If there are any problems or queries please contact our customer services department on 0161 669 4431. If any of the goods are incorrect or have been damaged during transit we must be notified within 24-48 hours of receipt of delivery, with photographic evidence where possible. Installation, Collection & Warranties

Installation

If required, installation can be quoted for many of the products we offer. This is a common option with larger projects, especially for offices. With some larger items available to order online (such as Meeting Pods and Booths), there are often delivery and/or install options listed within the options when buying them online. 

If you require a price for installation, or want to know more information about this service, please call the sales team for a delivery and installation (D&I) estimate.

Collection 

On some items, to avoid a delivery cost we offer the option to collect the goods. The Free Collection option is usually on the basis of picking up directly from the factory or warehouse. As we work with manufacturers across the whole of the UK (as well as Europe), please check with ourselves what location the collection would be from. In some instances you can also collect from MOS’s head office in Manchester. Depending on our terms with the manufacturer, this might have the same charge as delivering directly to your address. Again, please check with us prior to ordering and we can advise further. 

Lead times

Each product page shows the standard lead times in the Specification tab. The lead time for MTO (Made to Order) furniture, which includes a large portion of our product portfolio, will vary depending on the factory producing the item. This generally ranges from 2 to 8 weeks. 

Items which have already been made and which are in stock with the manufacturer can be as quick as next day delivery, or within 1-2 weeks. This is always subject to availability, however. To check the current lead time or stock levels of the product you are interested in, please contact the ourselves.

If you need your delivery to be timed around refurbishments or building works please let us know when placing your order and we will try to facilitate your requirements where possible. Once the order is in production, our customer services department will keep you updated with the progress.

Guarantees and warranties

The manufacturer’s warranties are listed in the Specification tab on each individual product page. Contract quality furniture, which is tested accordingly (as opposed to domestic furniture, which has different testing). 

Many of the items we offer include additional or higher testing certifications. These are again listed on the individual product pages. All information is kept up to date to the best of our knowledge. If you wish to check any specific details or request the official testing certificates for certain items, please contact ourselves. 

The warranties offered by our manufacturing partners include defects or faults to the products. They do not cover general wear and tear, and/or components (such as feet on chair legs). On upholstered products, the upholstery would fall under the warranty of the fabric manufacturer, which may differ to the warranty on the furniture itself.
